Looking for some good soup? I like chicken. And I use matzoh balls in my soup so I am going to make a chicken soup. I guess I need to figure out how to make that recipe a little healthier. My frozen ones are looking really good. I added some baby spinach to them. :)
It's been a while since I've made chicken soup in the house. I love the soup that is in your book but it seems that I'm not making enough chicken soup with my family. I'm going to give this a try tomorrow!
I made the chicken soup for lunch today. It was delicious. My husband and I liked it so much, we made it a week later and put a little less chicken broth and used about half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
I made this tonight and it was great. I cut back a little on the chicken broth because I didn't have a loaf of bread to soak it up. The bread helped so much with the thickness of the soup. I added some turmeric, fennel, and ginger since we had it on hand. I cooked it on the stovetop and like you said, I used a bit of the fat from the chicken that I cooked in the oven to make the balls. It had a nice matzoh ball taste. I added some parsley, kale, and sauteed some garlic scapes on top of the soup before serving. It was delicious! I'll be making this again for sure.
I made this a week ago and I still love it! I always use prepared matzoh balls as they are the easiest to use. I added some kale, carrots, baby spinach, and like u did, did not have a loaf of bread to thicken it. I also used a lot of chicken broth. I'll be making this again soon :)
I was sad to miss you on the Nativity Show last night, but it was on during our week and I s so excited the Nativity Show is back on Sunday! My husband and I love watching those shows and wish they would stay on. We will have to wait until next year to see next year s Nativity Show. I do really like your recipes, especially the one with fresh ingredients. I m making your soup today and hope you can find your missing ingredient. Do you think it s ok to use fat free sour cream in your recipes? 827ec27edc
