Let's go through an example. You're looking for the target password, 'password'. It doesn't match the WPA2-Challenge. Next, we try the passphrase, 'password'. It matches the WPA2-Challenge, so we know that the first 8 characters of the password are 'password'. However, we have to try a dictionary attack, so we go back to the dictionary and pick the 'password' word list. The first word is 'password', so the hash is the same as the passphrase. Once we have the hash, we can start bruteforcing it. We have a 75% chance of cracking the hash in 4 hours if we have a strong password, a 94% chance of cracking it in 4 hours if we have a weak password and a 100% chance of cracking it in a matter of seconds for the following dictionary attack:
Wifite2 uses the equivalent of the random values in the SHA-1 hash, to create a random key. From there, it will start cracking against the password. If the key is wrong, the attack will continue, and so on.
Finally, we can brute force the password once the handshake is captured. In this case we can see that the brute force method is successful with the captured handshake, leading us to the password:
We start by selecting a salt and password. We then create a random salt andpassword and calculate their SHA-1 hash. If the first 8 characters match, we thencreate a new random salt and generate a new hash. We then compare the two.If they match, then the first 8 characters of the two hashes are identical, andso the password is valid.
If we try to connect to a network with Wifite, we can see that the network most likely to be MITMed is an apartment block in the south of Russia. This is where my friend works, and he's always getting some weird requests from unknown devices. If we connect to this network, we can see that his browser has the cookies from another location, and this is a common tactic for MITMs. We can capture the traffic of this network and then craft a request that will result in a password, which we can then use to MITM the network.
These courses are available for free, because it is easier for a university to share them with you. However, if you want to earn a lot of money with this, then take Udemy ’s course for $15, or Coursera ’s specializations for free. However, Udemy’s free course is much better.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
