Also, on the same forum, I tried to install the driver for my other adapter which is also a TL-WN422G v2 but I got the error of not finding wl.ko. I don't know how to install that driver either.

Hello, I'm new to Linux and I'm currently trying to setup my TP-Link TL-WN422G (https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/details/product/TL-WN422G/). The problem I'm having is that when I try to run airmon-ng I get a no device found error. I have triple-checked my settings and this device is working with my other TP-Link devices. I'm currently on Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit and I'm also trying to use a 32-bit version of the driver. The website for the driver has an error in it which I've pasted below:
So, I really need help from any one who's experienced with these types of problems. I don't want this to be a waste of time.
I already searched the Internet for solutions and tried the instruction provided above but still unsuccessful. I have also tried to install the drivers manually but I got the same problem. please help me out. your help is very much appreciated.
I have installed TP-LINK TL-WN422G to my Linux Mint 18.1. The adapter was detected with firmware version: 1.2.0.0. I have followed the guide provided by TP-LINK on how to install the drivers. But it is still not working.
